The music company MUSICA spol. s.r.o. Bratislava has been active in Slovakia since 1991. At the time of its founding, MUSICA was the first music label in the former Czech and Slovak Federation, and it operated a branch office in Prague. After the division of the country, MUSICA spol. s.r.o. in Prague began operating as an independent music company.

Over its 36 years of existence, MUSICA spol. s.r.o. in Bratislava has released 260 titles by 182 domestic bands and performers. Alongside renowned artists such as the band Elán, Karol Duchoň, Marika Gombitová, Ján Berky Mrenica, Robo Grigorov, Beáta Dubasová, Pavol Hammel, Michal Dočolomanský, Polemic, Vašo Patejdl, Laco Lučenič, Katarína Hasprová, Berco Balogh, Adriena Bartošová, Dodo Dubán, Smola a hrušky, Lúčnica and the world-famous opera soloists Peter Dvorský and Edita Gruberová, the company gives space to lesser-known and newly formed Slovak bands, who release their first singles and albums through it. MUSICA also owns a very strong catalogue of children’s music and audiobooks, featuring the most renowned names such as Ladislav Chudík, Emília Vášáryová, the Kroner family, Karol Machata…

In 2024 and 2025, MUSICA took over the catalogues of the original Slovak labels SQ MUSIC and MSP Record. This further strengthened its position on the music market and opened a new path to digital distribution of their albums for artists such as Peter Stašák, Salco, Drvivá Menšina, Ľubo Virág, Jana Kocianová, Akcent Live, Belasí, Dušan Grúň, Ingola, Otto Weiter, Gizka Oňová and REPETE.

MUSICA operates not only as a music label but also as a trading company that distributes sound carriers to retail networks, not only from its own music production. It also provides worldwide digital music distribution for its clients and offers manufacturing of CDs, DVDs, USB drives and LPs, including various types of packaging. Media are manufactured according to each client’s individual needs.
